Following the success of the inaugural edition of the GCC Forensic Science Conference, the event is returning for an expanded version with new themes that build on the foundation topics introduced in the previous year.

The programme aims to discuss the most important and current topics in Forensic Science areas, with a particular focus on:

We also welcome submissions from other areas of forensic science, which will be considered within the same criteria as the priority topics.

Abstract Submission 

Abstract Submission 

An abstract between 250 to 500 words (excluding references) should be submitted. Please read the updated submission guidelines before forwarding your documents.

Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the conference themes
  • Excellence in research practices and adherence to international standards of ethics
  • Possibility of real life implementation of research post conference by regional police forces
  • Reliance on actual case studies 
  • Completeness of the required information submitted including abstract, references and submission form

No submissions will be accepted by email or other means for this year’s Conference.

12 August, 2018 - Speakers must submit final presentation slides

30 August, 2018 - Deadline for submitting documents for speakers/substitute speakers

•    All abstracts must be prepared using the abstract submission guidelines

•    Each speaker may submit a maximum of two abstracts

•     Each abstract submission must indicate if the material was published or presented in any prior Congress or if it received any awards

•    Speakers must not use the session as a marketing opportunity for products/equipment

•    Accepted presenters will get free registration to the event

All speakers (conference speakers, panellists, and sponsors) are legally required to submit their identification documents and security clearance forms as a part of a security regulations for official Abu Dhabi Police events by the 30th of August. Forms are circulated to accepted speakers along with their acceptance notification. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the session and the speaker will not be allowed to present at the event. Incomplete forms or documents will be rejected, also resulting in cancellation of the session. There will be no exceptions, waivers or deadline extensions.
